This school is written by Berta Volmer for all those who want to learn to play the viola without going through the violin, in order to play in the shortest possible time in playgroups, Collegia musica and student orchestras. It is aimed at adults and almost adults. The school limits itself to the essentials and, despite the concentrated treatment of technical problems, tries from the outset, by inserting numerous duets of old masters and contemporary composers, to put the goal of playing together in the foreground.
